| Yahoo! Answers: What do you think of "vote swapping"? For example, Bob Barr supporters who live in battleground states (such as Missouri) swap votes over the Internet with Barack Obama supporters in states where the outcome of the election is an all-but-settled issue (such as Michigan). That way, Barr could get the 5 percent of the popular vote he needs to secure federal matching funds for the Libertarian Party without tipping swing states to John McCain and costing Obama the electoral votes he needs to win. What do you think of this? Ethical or not? Apparently, it's completely legal. |
