YouTube: Tea Party Bus Tour Headed To Washington Grass roots conservatives with the so-called Tea Party movement are headed to Washington on a national bus tour. The movement was inspired by anti-tax protests of the past, especially the Boston Tea Party. In 1773, American colonists threw tea into Boston Harbor to protest taxes imposed by Britain. Thousands of Tea Party supporters launched their current tour with rallies in Nevada and Arizona.
