    McWherter "Categorically Opposed" to I-Tax

Thank author of this post/commentThe Tennessee Democratic Party nominee for governor tells TNReport.com that he opposes tax increases generally on "working families." Mike McWherter is Running against Republican Bill Haslam in the November 2 general election.

I think that it is a great idea not to increase those taxes because we all know how difficult life can be these days due to the economic downturn. Mike McWherter said that he "Categorically Opposed" the i-Tax. I don't know if he will be able to abide by what he said but I do hope so. In case he wins, at least we already know his stand on this issue.

Mike McWherter seemed to have encouraging words but I hope he meant what he said and to meet the expectations of the people. In a community it is important that the leaders and the citizens go hand in hand for the betterment of the society and not simply for personal interest. A lot of us suffer from paying high taxes so I hope it will be decreased to lessen the expenses of the commodities.

It is nice to hear a campaigner talk of opposition to taxes. The clincher comes when it comes time for the promises made to be kept, whether or not they are actually kept. I would like to see much fewer taxes for all families and persons under a certain income bracket, but then that will be a very difficult thing to achieve with so much power of the country in the hands of the rich.
