| Questions: isn't it obvious that tea party will prove to be a failure for GOP? Tea party only appeals to far right wingers. It is only focused on gathering extreme right wing support. That does little in terms of elections, because most far right wingers are already GOP supporters. Whereas Obama reached for all sides of aisle in his election -- moderates, independents, liberals and conservatives too. The strategy worked because many swing states like Virginia, Florida, Ohio, etc voted for Obama. But tea-party ignores everyone but extreme right wingers and only campaigns in reddest of the reddest areas. In terms of elections, tea party will have zero contribution. also tea party consists of birthers, and they put posters of hitler next to Obama, call NAACP racist and so on. Clearly most people avoid such stuff |
